Woman’s “Honour Crime” Hell
November 23, 07 – 8:57 pmI happened to have this article pointed out to me in a newspaper I started to read. Going through the article gives an impression that the crime of forcing a marriage on a woman or in this case a teenager is a part of Islam.
The actual fact is that it is part of some people’s twisted culture as is represented in this case. A few things to bear in mind is that the marriage to this man is not viable in Islam because since the girl claims she said she doesn’t want to marry the man to the “priest” who “carried on”. In Islam if one party is not happy, then there is not a marriage.
So just a little note about this honour crime article is that not all is what it seems to be. Honour crimes are not a part of Islam, they are the cultural defects in some people.
